Video Games, Burritos and Brother-In-Laws

So it turned out that I only needed to get tested for First Aid and CPR and I passed! No need to take the course! I was excited about that. When I got home Ian had found his old Nintendo DS and video games. He looked up at Game Stop how much it would be if he turned them in and it seemed to be worth it. When we brought them in to the store we were able to get enough money to buy Wii Fit Plus, a Game Cube controller, and Super Mario Galaxy!

Later on my brother Chris came over to play video games with Ian on Chris' XBOX.

1st Time Away From The Hubby

So, here's an update for you. Ian and I have now been married for 13 days! woohoo! Yesterday was our 2 year dating anniversary and our 1 year engagement anniversary. We didn't do anything special, except got o Chik Fil A and play Wii Sport Resort.

Today is the first time that I will be away from him since before the wedding. I have to go to work to get First Aid and CPR trained because I'm starting back at the YMCA next week with Christian. I'll also be away from him tomorrow for two hours for a safety training meeting for the YMCA. I'm a little sad about that, but at least it'll wean me off seeing him every moment of the day (which is awesome!).

I'm hoping that we will be able to post some pictures from the wedding soon, as well as from the honeymoon. In the meantime you can all see them on our Facebook pages.

Wedding Shower Prep Party!

Hey everyone!

Tonight was the wedding shower prep party with the girls. We had a blast being creative with the mini furniture that is going to be used as centerpieces for the tables. Here are a few of the things that we created:

Almost 100 Days To Go!

So, despite my large homework load this weekend, we got some stuff finished for the wedding. The first thing that we were going to do was try to order the cake, but it turns out that the cake shop closes at 3pm on Saturdays. We'll have to go back another time. I found my shoes for the dress at DSW. They're awesome! And comfortable!Today we went to Walmart and Lowes and got shepherd's hooks, pots, soil, and flowers to plant in them. We're going to use shepherd's hooks inside of pots with plants as decoration for the isle. On the shepherd's hooks will be lanterns with sphere white candles inside of them.

We've gotten a lot done! A little bit more than 3 months left! Next month is the wedding shower. I am so excited!

Less Than 4 Months To Go!

Hey everyone,
So, as of February 4th there is only 4 months left until our wedding! I am so excited! I am looking forward to my last semester of school as well as the remainder of the wedding planning. I will definitely be busy this semester considering that I also have work but I am still extremely excited about all of the things that I am doing this semester. For those of you two don't know I'm also planning my senior art show which will take place on the week of April 19th at the Biola Art Gallery.
When it comes to wedding planning we have done a lot! We have officially picked out wedding flowers as well as our florist (Thanks Maria!). We will leave the flowers as a surprise to all of the guests.
We also just picked up some lanterns from Ikea that we will use as centerpieces. We are still figuring out exactly what else will go with the lanterns but we'll also leave that as a surprise!

Earlier this week we picked up Ian's wedding ring from the jewelery store. We were super excited. Ian tried it on and had a hard time putting it away because he likes wearing it. But I told him that I'm gonna hold onto it and he'll have to wait until June 4th! My wedding band comes in sometime next week but we'll leave them as a surprise to you all for after the wedding.
We have found a couple cake places that we are looking at for our wedding cake but we are not completely sure about the design yet. I wont mention anything further about it because I would like it to be a surprise for the guests.
Today my mom and I are going to go shopping looking for more stuff for the wedding. We will hopefully be getting my shoes for my dress so that I can be fitted sometime soon. Also, the bridesmaids dress have almost all come in (minus the out of state bridesmaids). Three of the dresses are hanging up in my closet right now, so that is exciting!
We also visited the wedding venue with Ian's dad on Wednesday which was really cool because he was able to give us some tips on the wedding timing and order of events.

That's about it for now!

The Planning Continues

So, things have been going pretty well with the wedding planning. We officially have all of the bridesmaid's dresses ordered, as well as the flower girl dress. Ian has also gone into Friar Tux Shop and made an account for all of his guys. He even got sized for his tux while we were there.

This past weekend we met with a flower shop to check out prices, they seem to be pretty reasonable but we are still going to look around a bit more.

We also went to two different places for the cake and got quotes. We still have not decided which one we will choose though.

It's been difficult to try to get things done fast while also trying to find the best deal for things. I think that we have been doing a good job so far. The semester starts on Monday, it will be Ian and I's last semester as a non-married couple. We are getting so excited because we are almost at the four month mark.
